In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no feeling unshared, and no memory forgotten, but Holder’s past remained a mystery.

Sometimes in life, if we wish to move forward, we must first dig deep into our past and make amends. In Losing Hope, bestselling author Colleen Hoover reveals what was going on inside Holder’s head during all those hopeless moments—and whether he can gain the peace he desperately needs.
Losing Hope is just absolutely lovely!

So after my blushing and gushing reviewing of Hopeless, the shock I experienced lasted several days. I couldn't start any books at all due to the book hangover and I feel like it wasn't just the right time to read another book yet. I wanted to swim first and drown myself with the overflowing feelings I had with Hopeless. But I have to move on and get through the other books on my unlimited TBR stack and reading Losing Hope was the perfect cure.

This novel is told in Holder's POV and it was really exciting to start seeing things in his perspective. It is such a huge relief to know what truly happened to Les and how he endured the pain of not only losing a loved one but also how he tried to cope with the double loss because of Hope. I could say that he did handle it in a decent way even though he was broken inside. He didn't give up finding Hope and his hope of seeing her again gave him strength. A lot of scenes in Hopeless made perfect sense in Losing Hope and the consistency of the story was brilliant. This novel made me love Dean Holder more than how much I loved him in Hopeless.

Losing Hope is a story that inflicts pain and loss but relives such high hopes of finding the right one. The level of emotion it can afflict is so intense that at one point or another, one will shed tears. It isn't just a simple novel but somehow, a story of a person who surpassed a tragic past and continues to live each day with compassion. A story of a person we see in us.

Thank you NetGalley for the review copy!

VERDICT:
"For the next few minutes, we're completely lost in what feels like sheer perfection. Time has completely stopped, and all I'm thinking about while we kiss is how this is what saves people. Moments like these with people like her are what makes all the suffering worth it. It's moments like these that keep people looking forward."
