Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.
Losing It served a plate full of swoon!

I wasn't really into New Adult novels until I read Abbi Glines' Fallen Too Far series. I fell in love with this genre so fast I wanted more. When I was kind of doing research, I've seen a lot of good feedback for Losing It and I might be a little iffy about diving into another one, I gave this novel a shot.

Bliss wanted to really lose her virginity. She thinks she's too old to remain a virgin so she goes out clubbing with her best friend and tries to hook up with a guy reading a Shakespeare book. She decides to have a one night stand with him only to change her mind with such ridiculous excuse. When she arrives at her theater class, she almost choked when she sees her new professor - the guys she ditched in the middle of a steaming make out session.

Okay. So Losing It didn't much appeal to me as much as Fallen Too Far did. I don't know. For some reason, the main plot was just a little to shallow for me. I mean, you're in college and in your last term, and your virginity tops the things you have to worry about? I did enjoy it though. Really. Especially the theatre part. I loved it.

I enjoyed following Bliss' almost miserable college life and how she gets all this hot shots for Garrick. It would definitely be awkward seeing the guy you almost had sex with not to mention he's your professor. I can't help but laugh at how Bliss handles her situation. She's adorable actually. I'm not really a fan of Garrick though I know he's absolutely hot and I really do like his accent. Or him entirely being British. And the one I love most is Cade. Like he's the boy-next-door type which is very alluring.

Losing It is a very romantic novel. It is a balanced romance with theatrical background that would make anyone who would read it a fan! Cormack's take on Shakespeare is twisted in a sexy way! I cannot wait to read Faking It!

VERDICT:
Some relationships just end. Like a star, they burn bright and brilliant, and then nothing in particular goes wrong, they just reach their end. They burn out.

  1. I've read this before and honestly, 70% of why I liked it was because of Cade! You have to read Faking it! <3
