* SPOILERY REVIEW *

This is the last book in the Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking. I was really thrilled to get it because I couldn't get enough of Finn. However, there's this very huge twirl of events in this last book that I didn't anticipate like:

• how Wendy fell in love with Loki. Yes, Wendy got a point. Finn did nothing to fight for her which was very annoying.

• how Elora all of a sudden showed love for Wendy when she's about to die.

• how Wendy showed infidelity in this book which I think is not suitable for kids (she just followed her heart I know).

• how easy it was for Wendy to defeat her dad, I mean they've been researching on how to kill the King of the Vittra and they couldn't find anything. She didn't even struggle. Then when they started fighting and something triggered her emotions, she defeated a very powerful king just like that.

Well, I think the author was very straight to the point. Drama was less which I think cool but I wish the war between Trylle and Vittra could've been a bit action oriented not just like what happened. You wouldn't feel that the characters have done something to win. I couldn't even consider it a war though the book says it is ongoing for centuries, in the story, you would only feel like it happened for five minutes. Well, all in all, I was satisfied with the trilogy because for the first time, this didn't include vampires plus the consistency is good.

When Wendy and Rhys escaped, of course Matt was just glad they came back. But they where attacked by the Vittra and Loki took her. Then Matt was informed about the Trylle world and Wendy learned a lot of revelations about her family. I thought that Finn and Wendy would somehow try to be together but Finn was just so selfless that he would willingly set aside his feelings for the welfare of the kingdom. I felt Wendy's pain when Finn continued to ignore her COMPLETELY DID NOT FIGHT FOR HER. It would be the same thing for Wendy because she made a decision that she thinks is the best for the people. And it was very shocking to know that there's a gay character in the story. Just like Alex in The Mortal Instruments. HAHA. It never occurred to me, though. The twists and turns of the story wasn't something you could expect but there's something lacking in it again. Oh well, can't wait to get hold of the last book!

NOTE: If you're looking for vampires, wolves and angels, THIS ISN'T THE RIGHT BOOK!

When we hear the word TROLLS, we immediately think of that ugly doll with a very weird hair. In this book, trolls of what Amanda referred to as TRYLLES gave a new meaning to it (except for the hair). Tyrlles here are very powerful and take not , BEAUTIFUL. They were (as per description) not human, they have greenish skin colors but the body anatomy aspect is the same as ours. They hated shoes (of all things) BTW. At first I thought I should not have purchased the book but once more, my impressions have proven me wrong. The way Amanda wrote it was quite leveled up compared to the other books I've read. The story though was lacking something (maybe to make the readers want for more) because there are important things left hanging that's why I bought Torn. Characters didn't give all necessary info like how or why Princess Wendy needed to be saved. You just have to get Torn to know the real deal! HAHA.. But IMPORTANTLY, this book made me care and value my family MOST because I would've done what Princess Wendy did -- escape just to get HOME.
