When I finished reading City of Bones, I was really disappointed. It just wasn't the type of story that I would pursue at all. The characters, plot line, the year it happened, the weird combination of sorcery, vampires and wolves just did not go well for me. But I HAVE to read my books and I was honestly grateful that I didn't buy all 4. At some point, I hope that City of Ashes would change my perception about the series. You know, what? IT DID. It did change my feelings, now I love it! The character's humor did not end with Book One, who would expect that Simon would do anything - including turning into a cool vampire - for Clary, how powerful Clary was, how Jace fought his feelings for Clary and chose to be only his brother and how Imogen and Maryse humbled themselves. This book was way better than the first. Can't wait to get my hands on City of Glass!
